The new SBS route on Woodhaven/Crossbay Blvd. is a great addition for transit users in the city speeding up the tedious commute residents in neighborhoods such as Ozone Park, Howard Beach, Broad Channel, and the Rockaways need to make every day to get to and from the train stations on Queens Boulevard.
However, there has been major complaints from car users about the current layout of the SBS route causing trouble to their daily commute. New transit routes such as SBS should not discriminate against car users: both car and transit users should get a fair shake.
As State Senator I will call for the route to be looked at again and tweaked if necessary so transit users can enjoy the benefit of the SBS route without car users being penalizing in the process.
